  • Crazyshiteater666 : Hey Clarence, at what point did you decide to start weightlifting seriously, because I take it you started just training because you liked it. Or maybe you still aren't very serious?
  • Guest_59 : Any new artical updates?
  • Guest_4293 : hey clarence, when did you first start lifting?
  • Guest_4232 : Have you ever had patella tendonitis and what do you do for it? I've noticed in some of your videos that you sometimes have a patella strap on one of your knees.
  • Clarence0 : @Guest_3910, I'm half Filipino, half Irish.

  • Guest_2851 : Guest_3910, I'm pretty sure Clarence said in the comments on one video that he was part Filipino?
  • Guest_3910 : Clarence I have a bet with someone, do you have any chinese blood or heritage?
  • Guest_2341 : Clarence, did you learn the snatch and everything else by yourself,im learning it now and im slow on the hip extension part when the bar is supposed to fly up,will it just come eventually?
  • Guest_749 : You see, I believe that you should COP ON!
  • Guest_4390 : you slowly adapt to squatting everyday imo. dont jump straight into it. work ur way up and have low volume, just make sure intensity is high
  • Guest_4046 : 1234
  • KDotSpeed : @ Accountant Lifter try doing front squats from a bottom position out, so set the bar around where that bar hits you, and squat from there. or use one and a half squats, squat down hit the bottom position come up a 1/4 of the way, free fall back down and bit and use the bounce to get out. those two worked for me, I'm lucky I don't get stuck in the bottom I do find it hard to squat it out if it crashes though
  • sexy jim : curls get girls ;) all i'm saying
  • Guest_288 : accountant lifter@ most likely your getting crushed by the bar. in short you need to guide it and make it contact with your rack position. before you reach the bottom of the clean. if you dont you get chrushed and chrusehd hard. and just standing up with the weigh then becomes hard as fuck
  • bananans : practise doing it
  • Accountant_lifter : Does anyone have any tips for how to become better at catching the bounce in the clean? I can do it on lighter weights (though still heavy enough for me not to power clean them) but once I get to around 5% of my max clean, I might catch the bounce some of the time but mostly I just get pinned at the bottom and then rise up with a real grinder of a front squat.
  • Guest_845 : how many drug tests [wada] this year
  • copycat : am currently at frontsquatin twice a weel backsquating once a week. deadlifting once a week. but clean and jerk/snatching and pwoer variations i do everyday. and also worked up to 2 sessions a day. lasting around 1:30 each. next year. when i feel techic is getting better. and better at catching the bounc. as well as getting lift closer to my current squats. 200/220. then I can start squating even more. and more often. but clean and jerk/ snatch work the legs hard. and is taxing both mentaly and
  • copycat : about squating everyday. its not just about squating. say you do 8x2 of frontsquat at relativly heavy weight. when you first start out. after a while once you learned the lift you can start snatching+c&J every day instead of squating everyday. and instead have 2-3days of heavy squating. do this for a year or something. start adding in more.
  • MadMax : his max back squat was 270 and also does pump sets of 10 with 150 kg. I also think that the bulgarian system isn't the best. You just have to have a programm, stick to it and be dedicated. I also think, that there are "dark times" in every program. You just have to go through it and even take some lighter days if really neccesary ;)
  • MadMax : Hey fellows, just read MadHouses messages. I started olympic lifting in October 2012 and in the Program by the trainer is training 3 times a week with back squatting on Monday and Friday and Front Squating on Wednesday without maxing out. We only max out in the week before a competition. It's somewhat similar to russian or chinese training techniques. Nearly all memebers of this weightlifting club used this program. Also my trainier used it when competing in his earlier years. In his best times
  • MadHouse : That previouse madhouse isnt me, its some other user.
  • MadHouse : I'm giving up...
  • Guest_701 : You the best homie
  • Faggot : Also, listen to guest and of course, you can get a bigger squat without squatting every day. It's just that it's very effective to do so for olympic lifters.
  • Faggot : MadHouse: I am continuing because I'm still getting more progress than I did when I was squatting 3x/week. Also, what's your bw/age.
  • Guest_4429 : MadHouse, so what you are saying is as soon as you reached the "dark times" you stopped lifting and didn't just keep training no matter? Daily maxing is NOT about 100%+ lifts every day. It is about hitting a number you can hit on that given day for that specific exercise. Stop estimating how much you can jerk or whatever, actually try to lift what you estimate? Light days should be something you do anyway where you groove for technique.
  • MadHouse : I'm expecting the best results at the begining of this program, and the worste at the end once im at 7 days. How ever, if Ivan Abdajiev is right, il find out. And if hes wrong, il find out.
