What's a Super Total Program?
This means you train for Olympic Lifting and Powerlifting at the same time. A super total is the total weight of a 1RM snatch, clean and jerk, back squat, bench press and deadlift.
This isn't as difficult as it may seem. If you have plenty of experience Olympic lifting then you're already going to have a strong squat and decent deadlift. Bench press is the only weakness.
Organizing your training to be strong on all these lifts can be complicated. The key is to prioritize certain lifts for set periods and then try to successfully peak them all at the end. This program accomplishes this and it may even be optimal to follow this program if your end goal is to improve your Olympic lifts. For some people strength is a weakness.
This program is 10 weeks long and at the end you will test your 1RM in the snatch, clean and jerk, back squat, bench press and deadlift.
How much experience do I need before starting this program?
This program is not intended for pure beginners. You should have at least 1 year of training completed.
The main thing is that you've had a good amount of experience with the snatch and clean and jerk in particular. You should have no major technical flaws or mobility issues.
